When culturally primate care is still sitting on the side of taboo, it makes getting truthful and accurate information for their care really hard. I am here to change that. Dogs To Monkeys LLC is dedicated to animal care of all kinds. The focus for us is to keep animals in the homes they were originally given. Ownership of any species takes time, research, and effort. We believe that proper care and training can fix any of your animals issues. From dogs to monkeys we cover it all. While our focus is on primate care, we do enjoy working with your canine companions as well. The benefit to this multiple species drive is the ability to have a sound pack and a sound troop under one roof. With my decades of work I have created a program for primates that allows for stable troop dynamics to minimize the accidents that come within that troop in a captive setting.

When in comes to the philosophy of my business I hold that there are no bad animals. Rather they are more than likely misunderstood. Animals do not bite just to do so. Using their mouth is a natural form of communication for all species. If your animal is biting first without warning, you have missed the signs. You have stopped allowing them to communicate in any other form, commonly body language alone is the choice. When nothing else works, a bite usually does. However, at what cost to the animal? Let’s take a different approach, a simpler and more controlled option. For my program we utilize meals and body language combined to make changes.     This animal showed us how important it is to have patience. When we knew his past, we knew his health was out of our hands, to know-that anywhere else they would dub him as a loss. With us, he was free. He learned how to trust not just me as the trainer/owner, but he trusted men. He never accepted men before this program. He played with his favorite people, took car rides, caught his own bugs and small mammals in the fields. Patches you were truly remarkable. Those who knew you were shocked at the life you finally got to enjoy. You are a driving force to continue in our business. To prove it is never too late. Even in poor health we can still heal their brain and their heart. Don’t give up, it is never too late.

    The girl who kickstarted it all. Becoming her owner was the moment I realized there were no resources, no training classes, no books… We were going to have to build it. I made it my goal in life to have a career that would allow her to have the best life possible. I will hold that promise for the entirety of her life. We are 16 years in, and this girl is still the most joyful and loving animal I know.

  • Chance

    This boy is the one who unraveled my soul in a way I was unaware was possible. He has been through more abuse than any animal I know, and yet, here he is loving life and humans as if it never happened. Chance proved my theories and my methods. Fear is a state of mind that most animals in his case become stuck. The beauty of my program though, it allows them grace to be the animals they were intended to be. It is giving them the option of choice, and allowing them to build trust and bonds as they feel able. He is proof that it is never too late.
